چکیده

This work presents a field-hardened autonomous multimodal legged-aerial robotic system for subterranean exploration, extending legged robot to be the carrier of an aerial platform capable rapid deployment in search-and-rescue scenarios. The driving force developing such configurations are requirements large-scale and long-term missions, where payload capacity long battery life is combined integrated with agile motion agent. structured around quadruped Boston Dynamics Spot, enhanced custom configured autonomy sensor as well UAV platform, while agent built quadcopter. novel design hardware implementation onboard suites. Moreover it establishes overall architecture unified supervision approach respecting each locomotion modality, including guidance, navigation, perception, state estimation, control capabilities focus on efficient exploration. complete evaluated real tunnel areas, multiple fully missions goal identifying locating objects interest within environment.

Robotic Platform for Automated Search and Rescue Missions of Humans

We present a novel type of model incorporating a special remote life signals sensing optical system on top of a controllable robotic platform. The remote sensing system consists of a laser and a camera. By properly adapting our optics and by applying a proper image processing algorithm we can sense within the field of view, illuminated by the laser and imaged by ...

Robotic Exploration Utility for Urban Search and Rescue Tasks

In the 2006 RoboCup Virtual Rescue Robots competition, teams from different research labs developed methods for controlling teams of mobile robots in a simulated urban search and rescue scenario. The scoring procedure used in this inaugural competition rewards participants for the number of victims found, the amount of area explored in the environment, the quality of the maps created by the rob...

Dynamic Heterogeneous Team Formation for Robotic Urban Search and Rescue

Using teams of robots to complete a task provides a number of advantages over the use of a single robot. Multiple robots are able to complete tasks faster, and provide redundancy in case of equipment failure or loss. Teams of robots with different capabilities and physiologies are beneficial because they allow a team to provide a high level of overall functionality while striking a balance betw...

Mobility Models for Collaborating Search and Rescue Robots

This seminar deliberates the challenges of using small, low-cost robotic nodes with limited processing capabilities in collaborative search and rescue. We have attempted to employ selfdesigned mobility models suited to the mobility patterns of such nodes. Mobility models have traditionally been used to represent movement patterns in Ad-hoc network devices like cell phones, laptops, etc. The stu...
